Paddleboard Yoga

Have you been wondering about yoga and Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) combo trend that seems to be sweeping the nation? Soleil Lune is pleased to partner with Cris & Susanna Rosario of Paddleboard Specialists (Oconomowoc, WI) to offer you unique ways take your yoga onto the beautiful waters of Lac LabelleWe are combining our expertise to give you a unique and rich experience on water.  Cris & Susanna Rosario, the owners, and their staff will provide their excellence and expertise in paddle stroke technique instruction followed by Trish leading the yoga portion of your floating yoga experience.   The workshops and classes we have put together are designed to afford you the opportunity to grow and develop both your paddling and floating yoga practices.

How To Get Started

 

If you have little to no paddlbeoard and yoga experience, we highly suggest beginning your SUP Yoga journey with our workshop as it is designed for the true beginner in both modalities.  It is geared toward the true beginner for both modalities where we will explore paddling and yoga through both dry-land and on-water instruction.

 

The next step is to embark on your SUP Yoga experience.  All Floating Yogis will begin here, even if you have done SUP Yoga with us in the past. SUP Yoga is a 4-week session where each class builds upon what was previously learned and will be taught to the level of participants.

SUP Yoga

 

Sup Yoga is offered as a 4-week session and uses yoga fused with the exciting art of Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP). Participants will learn how to properly use a Stand-Up Paddleboard and how to perform dozens of different yoga poses while floating on the natural splendor of the serene waters of our Lake Country Area.

 

Because the poses are being performed on a moving surface, you will be engaging muscles that you would not normally engage on dry land. Because your postures have to be aligned with even weight distribution on the boards, you will not only be benefiting from a challenging class, but you will also be improving your in-studio yoga practice as well. Serenity awaits. All levels welcome.
 

Board, Paddle and Life Vest can be rented at the time of registration  or you can bring your own!!
 

**REMEMBER LIFE VESTS & LEASHES ARE REQUIRED!!**

 

What to Expect:

Learn corect stroke technique with an expert from Paddleboard Specialists then join Trish for your yoga portion. We will begin with seated yoga postures in order to build toward standing and balance postures. Relaxation (savasana) followed by a silent, meditative paddleboard back to shore will end your session. Classes are taught to the level of class participants and in progressions. Each class builds upon the previous.

 

Class offered:

  • Sessions: 4-weeks for 75 minutes and taught to level of participants.

  • Instructors: Paddleboard Specialists (TBD) & Trish Washburn

  • Not meant for the true beginner yoga student.

  • No paddleboard experience necessary.

 

 

Investment in Self:

  • 4-week Session: $100 if bring own board, $140 if renting equipment

  • Drop-in by availability: $30 with own board and $40 if renting board

  • Drop-in availability for each class is posted on our Facebook page the day of the class.

 

Session Fine Print:

  • Pro-rates and make-up class sessions are not available. There are no make-up classes unless the studio cancels class. If weather is severe there will be notifications on facebook, twitter, our website, and our voice mail.

  • Registration is non-transferable and may not be shared with spouse/child.

  • Registration is only valid for the designated classes within the session/lake you are registering for!

  • Specialty Yoga packages are not valid for on-going & community classes, workshops, special practices, special events, and/or retreats.
