Your Training Dates:

We have designed the training schedule to be more circular in nature versus linear. This means that you can join our training three times throughout the year (as long as there is room) and complete it over the next 11 consecutive months.  With this schedule, you are free to begin teacher training when it works for you (September, December or March), rather than waiting an entire year for the next program to start.  We are very excited about this method of training and look forward to sharing this incredible experience with you!

Three possible start dates/entry points for the current training begin in: September, December, or March. You have two locations to choose from: Oconomowoc or Brookfield.

What to expect

Our 11-month program is as comprehensive as it is intense. We’ll work long hours one weekend each month (8am to 5pm with appropriate breaks and time for lunch) as well as hold our participants to very high standards of participation, conduct and timeliness. For ease of entrance and your schedule, there are three entry points throughout the year to join the training: September, December, or March (See Your Training Dates section to the left). This year (2023) however, with our move to our new space we are only doing ONE entry point in SEPTEMBER.

Our 200-hour teacher training curriculum includes:

  • Advanced study of asana (proper alignment, benefits and potential risks, sanskrit names of postures)

  • Principles of anatomy (physical and subtle)

  • Science and art of sequencing a class

  • Hands-on adjustments

  • How to observe bodies

  • Informed use of props to improve or modify a posture

  • Cultivating your teaching voice

  • Confidence-building through practice teaching

  • Yoga history and philosophy

  • Meditation

  • The Business of Yoga

What Makes this 200 hour Training Unique?

We are committed to your success in the program and beyond! We will do our part to support you in any way we can. All trainings are kept small (10-20 people) to ensure that we have time to get to know you and directly meet your needs.  This allows for greater bonding between participants and plenty of individual time for personal introspection, personal development, and practicing crucial teaching skills.

Each training weekend, you will:

  • Teach & practice yoga daily (even on day one)

  • Be challenged to take healthy risks in your teaching and your life

  • Be asked to question what you already know and practice healthy skepticism

  • Be asked to consider new perspectives & knowledge / stay in beginner’s mind

  • Be asked to complete outside homework assignments / study during training

  • Learn how to teach every class to the students in front of you (no auto-pilot)

  • Teach a full one-hour class as part of your practicum

Fulfillment of this Training Program leaves you with:

  • A Yoga Alliance Certification: You will earn a Certificate of Completion of a 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Program and be able to register with Yoga Alliance as a 200RYT. Our program meets the new credentialing requirements of the Yoga Alliance as of March 2020.

  • A Wealth of Knowledge: You will leave with a deep understanding of the philosophy of yoga, asana, pranayama and meditation.

  • Full Embodiment: You will solidify and own your life, your yoga and faith practice experiences.

  • Authenticity: You’ll learn how to authentically live your yoga on and off your mat.

  • A Tool Box of Intelligent Class Designs: You will have learned the art and science of designing and delivering a safe, dynamic Vinyasa yoga class. You and your classmates will design classes with a specific purpose, giving you a notebook of ready to teach classes to start your yoga teaching career.

  • Skills to Truly Teach: Our program isn't about memorizing and reciting sequences. Instead, an emphasis is placed on teaching principles for clearly instructing the bodies in front of you while bringing those bodies and minds into physical and energetic alignment.

  • The Gift of Finding Yourself: This program will give you the space and opportunity to find your practice of transformation as well as develop/refine your own teaching style.

  • Post Grad On-going Support: Support for graduates includes free repeat attendance at future 200-hour trainings & life-time access to Trish &/or Kate for guidance & questions as your yoga teaching journey unfolds. They will come alongside you as a teacher as well as if owning a studio is in your future.  It is a fantastic partnership for creating change in the world and continued encouragement for you to shine as brilliantly as possible!
